Current Care Guideline «Munuaisvaurio (akuutti)»1 and Summary «Munuaisvaurio (akuutti)»2 in Finnish

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is an increasing problem. Early detection of risk patients, prevention of nephrotoxic medication and dehydration related AKI and contrast-induced nephropathy is essential. Treatment of AKI is based on sufficient fluid therapy and prevention of hypovolemia. Early initiation of renal-replacement therapy does not seem to decrease mortality.
