Current Care Guidelines are independent, evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. These national guidelines cover important issues related to Finnish health, medical treatment as well as prevention of diseases.
The guidelines are published in Finnish and a few have been translated into English.

Smart to Avoid Recommendations (Choosing Wisely Finland)
It is possible to improve the effectiveness, productivity and safety of healthcare if out of date and practices not supported by evidence are systematically discontinued.
To support smart diagnostic procedures and care decisions, the Current Care editorial staff defined a process for developing Smart to Avoid Recommendations and piloted the development of these recommendations in the autumn of 2016. The development of the Smart to Avoid Recommendations is ongoing.
