Diabeteksen hoidon kuormitukset ja hoitoväsymys

Psykososiaalisten tekijöiden arviointi ja tuki

Psykososiaalista hyvinvointia voi tukea ja hoidon vaikuttavuutta parantaa:

Ohjaus mielenterveyden ammattilaisen vastaanotolle on tarpeen esimerkiksi seuraavissa tilanteissa:

  • sairauteen sopeutumiseen liittyvät haasteet (sekä vastasairastuneet että pidempään sairastaneet)
  • elämäntilanteen kuormitukset ja muutokset (perheen perustaminen, ammatinvalinta, ikääntyminen jne.). Ks. suosituksen kohta Hoito ja seuranta eri elämänvaiheissa.
  • työelämään liittyvät kuormitukset ja stressi
  • omahoitoon vaikuttavat haasteet ihmissuhteissa
  • haasteet ja kuormitukset omahoidossa sekä vaikeudet saavuttaa hyvä hoitotasapaino ja hoitoväsymys. Ks. kohta Diabeteksen hoidon kuormitukset ja hoitoväsymys.
  • heikentyneet tai heikentyvät valmiudet huolehtia omahoidosta (esim. kognitiivinen heikentyminen tai vamma)
  • pelot ja huolet (mm. hypoglykemian pelko, lisäsairauksien pelko ja pistospelot). Ks. lisätietoa aiheesta «Hypoglykemiapelko»1.
  • merkit masennuksesta, mahdollisesti validoidulla arviointivälineellä arvioituna. Ks. lisätietoa aiheesta «Diabetes ja masennus»2
  • itsetuhoiset ajatukset tai itsetuhoinen käyttäytyminen (mahdollisista itsetuhoisista ajatuksista on tarpeen kysyä mm. masennuksen yhteydessä)
  • ahdistuneisuus ja traumat. Ks. lisätietoa aiheesta «Diabetes ja ahdistus»3.
  • viitteet vakavasta mielenterveyden häiriöstä. Ks. lisätietoa aiheesta «Vakavat mielenterveyden häiriöt: omahoidon tuki ja metabolisen riskin seuranta»4.
  • merkit syömishäiriöistä (esim. insuliiniannosten tai lääkkeiden väliin jättämisestä laihdutustarkoituksessa). Ks. suosituksen kohta Syömishäiriöt.
  • merkit riippuvuuksista (esim. päihteiden käyttö)
  • toistuvat sairaalajaksot ketoasidoosin vuoksi
  • laihdutusleikkaus ja sen jälkeiset vaiheet, jos on tarvetta sopeutumisen tukeen.
